In Rick Hanson's book, Hardwiring Happiness, he discusses the acronym GLAD, which stands for the following:
G - Gratitude
L - Learned
A - Accomplishment
D - Delight
On a daily basis, check in with yourself with each of these four items.
What are you grateful for?
What did you learn that day?
What did you accomplish (think small, especially if it was a day you didn't feel like getting out of bed!)?
What did you find delight in (most often, this could mean or include something in nature, your child, a loved one, etc.)?
